Chemistry at Work is aimed at year 10, more able and talented learners, this interactive session is designed to illustrate the relevance of chemistry in everyday life and inspire students to continue studying chemistry.

You are invited to join a debate focusing on if and how we should change our lifestyle to take personal action on climate change. The day will feature information about the science of climate change, information on choices, and a chance to find evidence using the Museum’s galleries.

This course will give students an overview
of the understanding, knowledge and skills
required of a public service interpreter in
the UK

The skills and self-awareness that you’ll develop on this course aim to help you deal with what life
throws at you in a positive way. It can also serve as an introduction to further studies in counselling.

The course will build on the creative writing skills learned in the Introduction to Creative Writing Skills course, exploring, in greater depth, the aspects of imagination, confidence and perseverance to facilitate writing creatively.  This course will look at structure, genre and formats and help students to write in a number creative ways including short stories, novels, scripts and poems.

 Students will spend 7 weeks looking at everything needed to start a small business or social enterprise including business plans, profit margins and accounts.  Sharing ideas and work to help one another establish and grow viable business ideas for the local community.
