In collaboration with the First Campus Adult learning programme, Live Local Learn Local is Cardiff University’s outreach programme that delivers short courses in community settings to encourage people to consider further and higher education.

NDEC Digital Literacy Day

Year 7 secondary pupils and year 6 students from their catchment primary schools will be visiting USW City Campus in Newport to take part in the NDEC (National Digital Exploitation Centre) Digital Literacy Day.

Chemistry at Work 2019

Year 10 pupils will be visiting Glyntaff Campus at USW to learn how Chemistry fits into everyday life.   

Brilliant Club

The Brilliant Club is an award-winning charity that exists to increase the number of pupils from under-represented backgrounds progressing to highly-selective universities.

Primary Aspirations – Cook Stars

Cook Stars practitioner, Anna, infuses her workshops with her passions for cooking and hands-on learning, with a health and well-being focus for young people and will be delivering workshops in partnership with First Campus to local primary schools.

Complementary Healthcare After School Club

This 4 week introductory course, will give participants an overview of Complementary Healthcare in general as well as more specific information on some of the different therapies available and their benefits. 

English Enrichment Project

University student volunteers will go into local schools and run a homework club that will encourage and inspire KS3 pupils with their English studies.

GCSE Workshop Series – Physical Education (PE)

Specially devised academic programme which aims to nurture talent, develop educational skills, and inspire learners towards future study and career opportunities.
