The Year 9 Residential project is an annual event that sees pupils from schools across South East Wales visit the University for a taste of student life and aims to raise their future educational aspirations.
The project participants have the opportunity to study one of a range of courses from across the First Campus Partnership institutions. Previous subject areas have included Biomedical Science, Food Technology, and Sport Science at Cardiff Metropolitan University; Chemistry at Cardiff University and Engineering at University of South Wales.
As well as studying their chosen course, participants also have the opportunity to experience an undergraduate student night life with activities in the student union and stay in the halls of residence with their peers.
The project ends with a Graduation ceremony to celebrate the participants’ achievements with their friends and family.
