The National Science Saturday Club offers young people age 14-16 the opportunity to attend Saturday morning classes to study a range of aspects related to Science.
The weekly sessions aim to explore the overall theme of The Human Body and in particular its response to Modern Life.
Example subject areas will include:
- Bio Medical Science – allergies and how they affect the human body with an Industry visit to Heath Hospital looking at the Ebola virus.
- Sports Science – anatomy and physiology, related to how certain health conditions effect the body and your performance in sport.
Participants will have the opportunity in November to visit a gallery or museum in London (venue to be confirmed); have their work exhibited in Somerset House in June, and attend a masterclass from a leading UK based scientist in the spring term.
