Taking place in secondary schools, undergraduate maths students will be undertaking placements within the Maths department and also running an after school maths club for more able and talented maths students in Year 8.

Pupils from Years 8, 9 & 10 at St John Baptist CiW School will be visiting USW – Treforest Campus for a campus visit. They will be exploring Why Go to University, touring the campus, speaking to current students about University life and working in teams on Escape Boxes.

  • Brilliant Club – Graduation 1

    The Brilliant Club is an award-winning charity that exists to increase the number of pupils from under-represented backgrounds progressing to highly-selective universities.

  • Able Radio Roots 2019 2

    24th May

    Year 11 pupils work with Able Radio to put together a radio show. The project lasts 6 weeks and includes two visits to Able Radio's studio, for recording.  The activity also develops soft skills, such as, teamwork, communication, confidence and time management.

  • National Saturday Club – Science 2019 12

    25th May

    The Club gives young people in years 9, 10 & 11 the unique opportunity to study Science every Saturday morning at their local college, university or museum, free of charge.

  • Saturday Art & Design Club 2018/2019 – 20

    25th May @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

    The project offers KS4 pupils the opportunity to take part in weekly sessions in a range of Art and Design subjects in the facilities at The School of Art and Design at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
