University Taster Days: July 2018
Cardiff Metropolitan University in partnership with the First Campus Project are holding a series of Taster Days.
Technocamps, in collaboration with First Campus and the University of South Wales will be hosting a 3 day, 2 night residential for Year 12 pupils from across South East Wales. The event is aimed at students with an interest in Computing, Computer science and ICT, and will be looking at Artificial Intelligence.
Songwriting and Production
Song Writing and Production workshops are run during school holidays to introduce young people to the skills involved in recording and mixing their own track in a professional environment.
Art and Design Portfolio Development Workshops
The introductory session is designed to provide information, advice and guidance to pupils, parents / guardians and school teachers. The session will look at the different Art & Design subjects available at degree level and will highlight the variation of subjects on offer.
The Discovery Project is a scheme for young people with a diagnosis of ASD who are between the ages of 14 and 19 who aspire to go on to higher education
Dance and PE Workshop Series
This workshop series is designed for young people who are interested in extending their Dance and PE skills. Sessions will run as a monthly Saturday Club held at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Workshops for Visually Impaired Musicians
Bespoke music-making activities for musicians of all ages, with Jackie Clifton of Musicians In Focus, designed to increase participants’ confidence and skills.
