Discover STEM in HE
This event will give KS3 participants a chance to discover STEM opportunities within a university environment.
Songwriting and Production
Song Writing and Production workshops are run during school holidays to introduce young people to the skills involved in recording and mixing their own track in a professional environment.
Rangoli: Art that Binds
Winding Snake Productions, supported by First Campus, are running one day art projects at USW City Campus Newport and at the ATRiuM Cardiff Campus. During the first day at City Campus participants will learn about the history and cultural origins of Rangoli and will all work together to make a giant Rangoli
Year 9 Residential 2018
The Year 9 Residential Project gives participants the opportunity to spend two nights and three days at Cardiff Metropolitan University, giving them an insight into undergraduate study at a university.
KS3 Workshop Tour
This project is designed to raise participant’s aspirations by giving them an insight into how school subjects are linked to opportunities at university and the workplace.
Dance and PE Workshop Series
This workshop series is designed for young people who are interested in extending their Dance and PE skills. Sessions will run as a monthly Saturday Club held at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Hay Festival Scribblers Tour
Hay Festival is back on the road, thanks to Welsh Government funding, bringing the Scribblers Tour to school children across Wales. The tour will be hosted in five Welsh Universities which includes The University of South Wales and Cardiff Metropolitan University, supported by First Campus staff.
Fashion Project – CWCHS
Cardiff West Community High School Year 9 pupils (25) will work with Ellen Hembrow from Fashion department at the University of South Wales to design and make a bomber jacket.
Travelling Ahead South East Forum
Travelling Ahead Wales Advice and Advocacy Service is part of the Welsh charity Tros Gynnal Plant. It is a project which works with young people and families from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities to give them a voice about the things that matter to them and helps tackle hate crime and discrimination.
