Humanoid Robotics Competition Awards Ceremony
Cardiff School of Technologies have been working with pupils at Blaenycwm School in Brynmawr, Blaenau Gwent, to provide insight on the fascinating 500-year history of Humanoid Robots as well as the latest technologies including Google Glass, mind readers and flying drones.
Aimed at KS2 students in year 6, the Boardgame Challenge introduces young learners to the idea of going to university in a fun format.
Songwriting and Production
Song Writing and Production workshops are run during school holidays to introduce young people to the skills involved in recording and mixing their own track in a professional environment.
Girls Football Festival
Girls’ Football Week runs from 23rd-27th April, 2018. Working with School and College Liaison and USW Sports, First Campus is hosting Girls’ Football Festival at USW Sports Park.
Star Pupil is a play written by Tin Shed Theatre Co. especially for First Campus. The play follows the journey of Mr Peril, who did not go to High School as a child, but decides he is ready to go now. The performance is interactive and the children help Mr Peril to prepare for this big step.
Merthyr Musical Memories
The School of Music and Performance at the University of South Wales in collaboration with First Campus’s LOST AND FOUND project celebrated one of Merthyr’s many assets in that it sought to share and tell the very positive history of popular music activity in the town between the years 1955 and the mid 1970’s.
Schools Opera aims to create a small scale, student led primary school opera performance with an accompanying introductory workshop.
