Mentoring has been highlighted as becoming increasingly important in the workplace, community and voluntary settings. Many organisations are beginning to recognise the benefits of mentoring as a way of supporting colleagues/fellow students and pupils in meeting individual and organisational objectives and priorties.

The mentoring scheme enables pupils to gain practical help and encouragement to assist them to reach their full potential. The scheme brings together university students and pupils either studying for or considering GCSEs. University students are trained to support and mentor pupils and using their own experience provide tips and ideas on studying - helping them make the right educational choices.
