First Campus hosted a series of revision workshops for budding mathematicians recently.  More than 100 able and talented pupils from schools across South Wales were given the opportunity to practice their skills ahead of their GCSEs.

Workshops took place at Cardiff University, Coleg Gwent and the University of Glamorgan, with qualified maths teachers sharing their expertise.

Cardiff University’s Vicki Roylance, who organised the events for First Campus, said: “Good exam results in maths remain one of the most important factors in helping kickstart a youngster’s future academic and working opportunities.

“Holding this three day event will hopefully give extra support and help prepare them for the tough GCSE maths exams to come.”
