What your job involves:

My remit is to develop inspirational and aspirational workshops that cut across the academic departments at the University of Glamorgan, and put these together into a programme of events for schools. 

Example of a typical event/ typical day at work :

My days vary so much, but I often attend meetings with internal and external workshop facilitators.  Occasionally I have a hands on role with school events – this was the case recently with a music technology summer school workshop.  I enjoyed taking part as this is a subject area close to my heart!

Key tasks :

• Meeting with academic departments to develop workshops,
• Establishing relationships with schools,
• Coordinating all the loose ends to get our programme of events up and running. 

Favourite part of your job :

I enjoy meeting such a wide range of people and I like the fact that the job is so varied.
