Abertillery Comprehensive have joined First Campus at the University of Wales, Newport for a very exciting film project. Working with undergraduate film students the pupils have produced a film which tackles issues young people face when thinking about going on to Higher Education. The questions raised ranged from ‘Where will I live when I’m at university?’ to ‘How do I know what to study?’ The filming took place at both City Centre Campus, as well as  Caerleon Campus and footage from Aberystwyth University will also be included. The pupils were involved in every stage of the production including casting, content, filming and editing. In the future, First Campus will take the film to other secondary schools to raise awareness of Higher Education, using it to start classroom based discussions.
