On 5th April 2011 five scientists working in South East
Wales came face-to-face with 60 pupils from local secondary schools at
the third annual Science Date event at UWIC's Cyncoed Campus.

Hands on Science are launching the first ever South East Wales Science Rap Competition!
We're looking for young people between the ages of 7 - 16 to write a rap or song about Physics and record a video of them performing it!
The competition is officially launched on Monday 24th January at the University of Glamorgan (if you are interested in attending please email lerobert@glam.ac.uk for info.).

Science Cafe welcomes families to their second family workshop looking at fossis large and small on Tuesday 4th August.
The session will be held from 6.30pm at The Gate art centre, Keppoch Street, Cardiff.
All ages welsome - come and look at giant fossils and tiny ones through a microscope!
Free Entry.

Last Saturday, July 25th - saw the performance of a free concert celebrating the Apollo Moon landings and the International Year of Astronomy at the National Museum, Cardiff following on from the Astronomy Festival which took place during the day.
