Welcome to First Campus

Through collaboration we run a series of exciting
and challenging activities for a wide cross
section of pupils who are at key stages 2, 3
and 4. Our activities fully complement the
curriculum, enrich studies, encourage
participation and are enjoyable for all
participants.

School Holiday Enrichment Programme (SHEP) 2017

SHEP_Food_is_Fun.pngThe School Holiday Enrichment Programme (SHEP) is very simple in concept- food and fun for all during the school summer holidays. SHEP aims to allow for those children across Wales who receive a free school meal (FSM) during term time to also be able to do so during the summer holiday.

The SHEP model was developed and piloted by the Food Cardiff partnership in 2015 and has won numerous national awards from the health and catering sectors. In 2016 the WLGA piloted this model nationally in 10 schools, working with five local authorities and three local health boards.

The First Campus partnership are offering two University based SHEP (Summer Holiday Enrichment Programme) days. These will be held on the 31st of July 2017 at Cardiff University, and the 1st of August 2017 at USW, Treforest.

First Campus, the South East Wales Reaching Wider partnership, raises the aspirations and Higher Education awareness of learners through activities and workshops, which take place at Higher Education institutions.

We have temporarily disabled the sign up form, due to technical issues, we appreciate your patience (30/06/17).

To sign up your school we need the SHEP coordinator to complete two steps

  1. Complete the online signup form to register your school, numbers of pupils and parents. (20th July) Click here to access the SHEP Sign Up Form
  2. Ensure that a First Campus Parental Permission & Data form is completed for each pupil attending and returned to First Campus (27th July)
