Polish students cook up a storm at UWIC

polishcooking07Polish pupils from schools across South East Wales visited the University of Wales Institute Cardiff's catering facilities recently to produce a menu of Polish specialities. Pupils from four different schools took part in the event and were assisted by Polish university students from UWIC and the University of Glamorgan.

Glamlit 2007 Attracts Top Authors

glamlit2007ferndaleOver 1000 school children from across South Wales are taking part in a celebration of literature at the University of Glamorgan this week.

Organised by First Campus, in association with the University and the Guardian Hay Festival, the ‘Glamlit’ festival is a two day event held at the University’s Treforest campus and aims to engage children in home grown literature by introducing them to some of the UK’s best known authors.

Pupils get opportunity to taste campus life. 350 primary school children from across Rhondda Cynon Taf and Bridgend visited the University of Glamorgan to take part in a series of workshops including circus skills, card making and a visit to the University’s planetarium, as part of the ‘Primary Carousel’.
